Hi party friends! Welcome to my new party blog where I will share party trends, designs, tips or other fun stuff!

I'm Kim, owner of Let's Celebrate. I've lived in the Thiensville/Mequon area most of my life. I'm a Homestead High School and UW-LaCrosse graduate. I took the leap in 2022, to start Let's Celebrate. I've had this business vision for a long time, and am so grateful the response in the community has been so amazing!

Birthday Memories

My late mother, made parties for us so special. I remember a Cabbage Patch party, Hippo (they were my favorite animal) and a shopping theme.

I treasure the memories and love that we have the photos to remember! My mom was Pinterest before Pinterest was a thing! She was so creative! Below is a picture of my mother with a cake she made, it was a Muppets theme party. Miss Piggy and Kermit was hanging in heart cardboard cutout. I think this was the first and last Chucky Cheese party I ever had. We all know how scary the characters were, but even creepier you received a "birthday spanking" with Chuck E Cheese's tail. (Yes, therapy is needed!)

My last birthday with her in 2015, she threw me a "Walking Dead" themed party! It was hard to eat her lasagna it looked so real! It wasn't just birthday parties, she would throw amazing Super Bowl Parties and made each holiday special too.

What are your birthday memories? Do you have a terrifying Chuck E Cheese story too?

Florida 1982, Chuck E Cheese 1983, "Walking Dead Lasagna 2015

Thank you!

Thank you for following along! We're only five months in, and we're just getting started!

What awesome birthday parties you had as a kid. Love the Walking Dead party and lasagna. My mom threw some amazing parties too. Great memories except, I do remember a Chucky Cheese party and a Kid threw up in that playset tunnel. So gross. Can’t wait to see your party ideas.
